Worship Ministries:
The Heartbeat of Our Church
On Sundays, we gather for contemporary and traditional worship that blends Scripture, prayer, and music in a warm, welcoming environment. Our worship ministries also include Children’s Church, where kids are invited to their own age‑appropriate time of learning and worship so the whole family can grow in faith together.
These services are designed to help people of all ages encounter God’s grace, deepen their faith, and find a church home where they are truly known and loved. Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or have been following Jesus for years, there’s a place for you to belong, serve, and grow at Boynton UMC.
9:00 a.m. Contemporary Service
If you prefer a relaxed, modern worship style, our 9:00 a.m. contemporary service in Heritage Hall may be a great fit for you.
What to Expect:
A casual, come‑as‑you‑are atmosphere where you can sit at a round table with your family or in a row of chairs.
Modern worship music led by our praise band, with lyrics projected so everyone can sing along.
Clear, Bible‑based teaching that connects faith with everyday life.
Times of prayer and reflection, with space to listen for how the Holy Spirit is leading you to follow Jesus in today’s world.
Kids at the 9:00 a.m. Service:
Children stay in the service at the beginning of worship.
They are invited forward for a special Children’s Message.
After the Children’s Message, kids are excused to Children’s Church for age‑appropriate teaching and activities in a safe, caring environment.
Sunday School: Growing in Faith Together
Sunday School at Boynton UMC is a relaxed time to grow in faith through conversation, Bible study, and prayer with others who are walking the same journey.
Details:
Time: Sundays, 10:00–11:00 a.m.
Adult classes: We meet as a group to choose and explore Bible studies that help us grow as disciples of Jesus. Together we’ve studied the foundations of the United Methodist Church, Draw the Circle by Mark Batterson, and The Promise of Heaven by Dr. David Jeremiah, creating space for conversation, prayer, and real‑life application.
Youth class: For middle and high school students, where they can ask questions, build friendships, and learn to follow Jesus in their daily lives.
Children’s class: A children’s Sunday School class is launching soon, designed just for our youngest learners.
11:00 a.m. Traditional Service
If you are drawn to classic hymns, liturgy, and the deep roots of the Christian faith, you’ll feel at home in our 11:00 a.m. traditional service in the Sanctuary.
What to Expect:
A warm, reverent United Methodist service with congregational hymns, choir, and pianist.
Scripture readings, corporate prayer, and a Bible‑based sermon that connects God’s Word to daily life.
Traditional elements such as the Lord’s Prayer and historic Creeds that unite us with the wider Church.
A welcoming, family‑friendly atmosphere in the Sanctuary, entered through the doors under the awning.
Kids at the 11:00 a.m. Service:
Children begin in worship with their families.
They are invited to a Children’s Message early in the service.
After the Children’s Message, children are excused to Children’s Church for their own time of learning and worship.
5th Sunday Combined Worship & Potluck
When there are five Sundays in a month, we come together for one combined worship service from 10:30–11:30 a.m. This is a special time when our church family gathers in a single service, followed by a potluck lunch where everyone is invited to bring a dish if they are able and stay to share a meal, conversation, and fellowship.
Time: 10:30-11:30 a.m. Combined Service
11:30-12:30 p.m. Potluck Lunch
