Let’s worship together one Sunday soon.
We are excited that you are interested in Boynton United Methodist Church. We’ve been praying and planning for you.  We are very intentional about sharing the love of God through a relationship with Jesus Christ with those in our community and making a positive difference in the world. We hope that you will join us in those efforts.
To facilitate continued growth and expanded ministry for this coming harvest, Boynton UMC will soon break ground on an additional building in our back parking lot and will be renovating our Sanctuary.

Our Mission and Vision

Our Biblical mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

How are we doing that?

We seek to help people learn about and experience God’s presence.  A personal relationship with Jesus Christ brings forgiveness, renewal, and new life.  The ministry of the congregation seeks to extend the unconditional love of Christ to everyone. We do this through two different types of worship, Sunday School classes for all ages, fellowship groups, and through an emphasis on mission.

We are a people of blessing in our local community through ministries such as BLESS (Building Lives: Every Snack Sack), Recovery at Ringgold, school partnerships, community events, and Stephen Ministry. Internationally, we are engaged in God’s activity in  Nicaragua.

Disciples grow in the faith and become more and more Christ-like through consistent and faithful worship, prayer, Bible study, service and generosity.

Here is some information that will hopefully help in preparation for your visit:

We offer both contemporary (9:30 a.m.) and traditional (11 a.m.) worship styles. The contemporary style offers a relaxed, casual atmosphere and music is led by our praise band at the 9:30 a.m. service. Traditional worship at 11 a.m. features beloved hymns of faith and is led by our choir.

The dress style is looser and more relaxed in our contemporary worship service, but even our traditional worship isn’t too fancy. Some come in business casual and others wear suits/ties or dresses. Everyone is welcome. God cares more about your heart than your clothes.

You will find a specially marked “Guest Parking Only” lot in front of the church off Boynton Drive. This will put you just a few steps away from both Heritage Hall (site of 9:30 a.m. contemporary worship) and the Sanctuary (site of 11 a.m. traditional worship).

The 9:30 a.m. Casual Contemporary Service is held in Heritage Hall, located in the middle of the campus. The 11 a.m. Updated Traditional Worship Service is held in the Sanctuary, located at the corner of Boynton Drive and Pine Grove. Friendly greeters will be in place to direct you and answer any questions you may have.

We love kids in worship. As the saying goes, if you don’t hear crying, the church is dying! However, if your prefer, a nursery is available for infants and children up to age 3 anytime between 9:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. For your child’s safety, all nursery staff have passed a national criminal background screening. A greeter can escort you to the nursery once you enter the church.
At the 9:30 a.m. contemporary service, Kidz Church is provided during the sermon for children through fifth grade. Separately, B-Kidz Sunday School is offered for all children from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Restrooms are located in the hallway that runs behind the altar/stage/front area of both Heritage Hall and the Sanctuary.

The church is financed by the faithful and generous donations of its members and supporters.  If God leads you to support the mission and ministries of this church, you may place any donations in the baskets or plates when they are passed during the services.

We understand that many guests like to remain anonymous as they sample the worship experience here at Boynton UMC. We respect that and want you to be able to do so. Pastor Randy would love to meet you after the service. If you do choose to give us some contact information via the Communication Card, we will simply give you a call and thank you for attending and offer to answer any questions you might have. We will not hound or pressure you in any way.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
